To install the Dialectic Contextual Menu, you will use the appropriate option in the extras preferences. When installing this menu plug-in, you have the option of installing it for the current user or for all users. If you choose all users, you must enter the name and password for an account with administrator privileges.
If you want to uninstall the Dialectic Contextual Menu, it is best to again use the appropriate option in the extras preferences. Simply uncheck the option to “Enable Contextual Menu” and the menu will be removed (you should log out and back in to complete the removal).
If for some reason you need to manually uninstall this menu, you will need to remove the plug-in file named “DialecticCM.plugin”. This file will be in one of two places (depending on whether you enabled for the current user only or for all users). If you enabled it for the current user only, it will be in the Contextual Menu Items folder of your user’s Home folder (~ is shorthand for your Home folder):
~/Library/Contextual Menu Items/
If you chose to install for all users, it will be in the Contextual Menu Items folder of the main Library folder:
/Library/Contextual Menu Items/
Move the “DialecticCM.plugin” file from the installed Contextual Menu Items folder to the trash then log out and back in to finalize the removal.
