Using GREP Search & Replace
For most users, the standard prefix and suffix features of Name those Files! will be more than adequate when creating new file names. For power users who need more finite control over their files, however, NtF! supports GREP search and replace on the original file name. The GREP engine used by NtF! relies on PERL which is installed “under the hood” in Mac OS X. As a result, PERL compatible regular expression (PCRE) syntax is required to utilize this feature.
