While browsing JABMenu’s submenus is an intuitive way to see your contact data, sometimes it isn't the most efficient. To help find your contacts quickly, you can use JABMenu’s built-in lookup feature to search your contact database (an added benefit to using the lookup feature is that if you have the data cache enabled for the JABMenu submenus, then your contact data may not be completely up-to-date, the lookup feature will always use the most current data regardless of the data cache setting).
To make using the lookup feature even easier, you can assign a global hotkey in the Other Options preferences to open the lookup window from any application. You can use the keyboard to fully navigate this window: press enter to conduct the lookup and, if there is at least one found contact, tab to the results table, use the arrow keys to navigate up and down the results and press return or enter to display a menu for the selected contact or contacts. All of the data items shown in the menu for the selected contact(s) use the same selection actions as the data items in JABMenu’s submenus.
